Venezia e Napoli on the Liszt piano in Liszts birth place in Raiding

For a small private audience in the small, but exquisite Lisztmuseum I recently played among other pieces the Tarantella from Venezia e Napoli on a Erard Pianoforte dated 1842.   This was a great experience…the piano was still in good shape with surprisingly well working repetitions, a fantastic transparency in sound and nevertheless big dynamic range.

Reminder to myself: play more often on period instruments!
